Four years after the gruesome murder of 32 journalists in Ampatuan town, Maguindanao province, students of the University of the Philippines Los Baños remembered the victims of the massacre through a candle-lighting ceremony held Thursday night at the University’s Carabao Park.
Varsitartian, academic, and socio-civic organizations and student councils also joined the lighting ceremony and delivered their respective solidarity statements.
The said candle ceremony is spearheaded by UPLB Perspective, the official campus student publication, as it calls for the speedy delivery of justice to the victims and their relatives. [P]
