Due to Typhoon Ulysses and the previous devastation of Typhoons Pepito and Quinta and Super Typhoon Rolly from the past weeks, many communities in Luzon had experienced major floods and massive losses in life and proerty. Here are some relief efforts that aim to aid the victims.
Call for donation for the survivors of Typhoon Quinta, Super Typhoon Rolly, and Typhoon Ulysses
UPLB’s Disaster Response Task Force through the initiative called “UPLB Agapay” is calling for donations for the benefit of the survivors of Typhoon Quinta, Super Typhoon Rolly, and Typhoon Ulysses.
UPLB Agapay is spearheaded by Serve the People Brigade (STPB) UPLB, UPLB Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, UPLB University Student Council, All UP Academic Employees Union – Los Baños, and UPLB Ugnayan ng Pahinungod.

Donation drive for Typhoon victims in Bicol Region
Samahang Busko-UPLB is asking for support for the typhoon victims in the Bicol Region who were hit by the recent typhoons.
Caritas Don Bosco School, Laguna Technopark Laguna Blvd., Biñan, Laguna will be the drop-off location for in-kind donations. They encourage people to donate blankets, mats, tarpaulins, and canned goods to cater to the evacuees’ essential needs.

Project #sharedsalad for the typhoon victims in Virac, Catanduanes
UPLB students Janelle Aimee Estrellado and Nicole Garcia are selling salads as a part of their project #sharedsalad to gather funds for the typhoon victims in Virac, Catanduanes. You can purchase their salad on Instagram.

Devcom freshie, whose house was washed away by flood, calls for help
Contra DisConnect is asking to help Leo Verdad, a BS Development Communication freshman, after his family’s house was washed away by the sudden rush of flood from the Marikina River. He, his mother, and two young siblings are currently in an evacuation center with just their clothes and some stuff.
Contra DisConnect is a fundraising initiative led by the University of the Philippines Los Baños College of Development Communication Batch 2020 to aid fellow DevCom freshmen in gearing towards remote learning.

Agriculture student sells art to donate to donation drives
Ahl Rubianes, an agriculture student, is accepting art commissions where part of the proceeds will be donated to organizations that are currently conducting donation drives for the Typhoon victims.

Cagayanos need your help
Following the news of the Province of Cagayan being almost entirely overwhelmed by flooding, UP Cagayanos are now accepting monetary and other types of donations to aid those affected.
Among the items that can be donated include clean clothes and blankets, food and basic medicine, candles and flashlights, and first aid and hygiene kits among others.

TugegaraONE: emergency response team

Parts of Tuguegarao City are currently submerged in 15-feet deep floods after Magat Dam released the overflowing water caused by Typhoon Ulysses.
To help in rescuing people that are still stranded on their roofs, the UPLB Development Communicators’ Society is appealing for urgent help for TugegaraONE, an emergency response team organized by Girlie Mei Cuntapay.
The team needs rescue boats, Elf trucks, and other necessary equipment. They are also accepting assistance from trained individuals in emergency response to help them in the search and rescue operations.
