UPLB Kilos Na is requesting monetary donations from individuals and organizations in order to help with the ongoing relief operations for the constituents of the university who were affected by the recent typhoons. This initiative also serves to help with the continuing expenses of the students’ campaign to #EndTheSemNow.

The UPLB Kilos Na Task Force was formed during the CSL on November 7, to spearhead the multi-sectoral strike in line with the #EndTheSem campaign to focus student efforts on providing relief for victims among other demands. Their Facebook page provides all of the announcements, releases, and updates regarding the #WelgaUPLB campaign. The ongoing multi-sectoral academic strike calls to end the semester to help all the UPLB constituents that remain victims of the COVID-19 pandemic and the typhoons. “Noche Buena” benefit concert for the affected and displaced typhoon victims

Publication material from UP Human Ecology Student Society/Facebook

Noche Buena is what we, Filipinos, call the night before Christmas. During this special time, families gather together to bond, eat together, and enjoy the holidays. Sadly, not everyone has the privilege of having a merry Christmas due to the overlapping devastating effects brought by the pandemic and consecutive typhoons this year.

The UP Human Ecology Student Society (UP HESS), along with their partner organization, invites all individuals and organizations to their event entitled, “Noche Buena: A Benefit Concert for the Affected and Displaced During Typhoon Ulysses,” on December 12, Saturday at 5 PM. According to the organization, it will be the concluding event of their ongoing donation drive. The proceeds will be forwarded to UPLB Agapay, with a transparency report to be released afterwards. The said event will also showcase the different talents of local artists from Los Baños, Laguna.
